So now we have reached the point where the event slowly closes in to its end and it is time for a little retrospective view. This thread is to discuss all that happened in and around the event. What you liked and what you disliked.

I'll start of wth my opinion.
I liked it. It was a pleasant change from the normal pace of PVP. Everything seemed to be much broader sometimes greater than before. The Event sure did attract a lot of new folks around the block, i've honestly never seen so many districts before. Ok there was a time, when the game was new and ascalon was the place to be XD.
The faction gain was awesome. I'm probably just speaking for myself but it was much more motivating then the typical "12 faction for a flawless win... yeah sure... keep them.". The only problem i see for myself now is to get used to the normal pace when all is over.

But not everything was great, the event also attracted a lot of low brain persons and you had flaming and shit throwing everywhere. It reached its peak this morning where i just turned of every chat except for the guildchannel (that was when a guy had "Fuhrer" in his first name and was spamming Sieg Heil bullshit all the time...).

I also had a lot of fun and funny moments. Thanks for all the smiting builds folks

How has your event been so far? Any funny events you'd like to share or any opinions, maybe even suggestions? Share them

Ah speaking about Suggestions... if we ever get another event i might want to see some sort of statistic how many faction people gained on average and some sort of ranking

I had fun jacking mesmers with my W/Mo, heh I have found a build that gives them hell now, hehehehe I was even applauded for taking two out on my own while the rest of my team was busy on their monk.

One things for sure though with the speed of faction like it is now, unlocking all the things for one character sure isn't going to take much time. I had 10k faction again within a few hours of play in the random 4x4 arenas. I was seeing double 25 point gains quite often and the occassional 100 faction gains. I had to create a 3rd character just to spend the faction I had gained. I'd already unlocked all the things I wanted for my W/Mo long before this xpvp weekend started. So, didn't have anything really worth unlocking for my main. And since my 2ndary is a mo/w (no it's not a 105/55 build so pfft on you.)

I didn't need to unlock much for her either. I'm not a big fan of losing health points for a few more points of damage on those major and superior runes. Now for the monk class it might be worth it, but, for my warrior I just can't see it. 12 points into Weapon and 9 or so in strength and the rest into monk skills and tactics appears quite sufficient for my type of play. I figure if I can get 10k of faction in pvp arenas in a few hours then my build is sufficient enough.

And as long as I can stomp Rangers and Mesmers with it I am happy, especially rangers. hehe
